Yarn Colours

Whilst I madly dive into my re-discovery of crocheting I came across the cheap and cheerful Stylecraft Special Wools - which I love because they must have the biggest choice of colours available in one brand - with a massive range of 48 shades.  Yes I know it is acrylic but for throws, toys and cushions I think it is ideal for lots n lots of granny squares.  Can be purchased at Masons here

Special DK 100gm Print
ImageStylecraft is the market leader in big value economy yarns with its Special range. Now with a new improved quality, cleaner look and even softer handle the appeal is extended still further. The Special range includes 4-ply, DK, Aran, Chunky and baby qualities in a fabulous range of colours to meet every knitter’s needs. The ultimate economy best seller.

  1. Hello and thankyou for visiting my blog, its lovely to meet you!! I am looking forward to seeing your crochet. I am using up scraps of the very same yarn you mention. I am too poor to be a yarn snob. Acrylic is ok by me. And practical too when a muddy dog hs a nap on your beloved artwork!!!

  2. plus, if your like me and can't help starting new projects without finishing the last one - then it sure comes in handy not to spend masses on fancy yarn :)

  3. I totally agree with the above comment! I'm forever starting new things and it would cost me a small fortune to buy expensive yarn for it all. I love Special DK and have a basket full of it, it's soft, the colours are gorgeous and it's cheap!
